Dear Praying Friends,

The Lord has been working in various ways through this church-planting ministry in West Africa. Souls are being saved, churches are being planted and reaching their communities, and funds are coming in for many of the church-planting needs! Now, let’s get to the particulars of how God has been blessing.

On Easter Sunday morning, Pastor Dare and the Fundamental Bible Baptist Church of Apremdo held their first service in the church building that was purchased through Operation Light! A good number of souls had been saved in the previous months and nine of them were baptized after the service that day. Praise the Lord! God blessed the special service with more than one hundred in attendance.

Operation Light initially gave more than ten thousand dollars for the purchase of the property for Pastor Frederick Aidoo and the Fundamental Baptist Church of Agona Nkwanta. In recent weeks, Bro. Ruckman informed us that additional funds have been provided for the construction of a church building on an existing foundation on that property. Praise God! Within twelve to fifteen months, Lord willing, at the site of an old hog barn, there will be a new structure that holds a New Testament Baptist church!

Due to inflation and the subsequent rise of prices for construction, an additional five thousand was needed to complete the construction of Immanuel Baptist Church in Wahala, Togo. Operation Light has sent this amount to Bro. Goungampo for this project. We pray that the church building will be completed by the end of the year.

There are several projects and pressing needs about which we are praying that God will supply in the next few months. First, we need to drill wells at several of the church plants at the cost of two thousand dollars for each well. Second, three of the church planters need motorcycles for their soulwinning and follow-up visits; and the cost is one thousand dollars each. Pray for God to supply these needs for the furtherance of the Gospel in West Africa.

Sincerely,
David Crews, Director
